Drpenofficial.store is an official Dr. Pen authorized retailer. Every Dr. Pen A8S purchased from our store is a genuine Dr. Pen device with authenticity verification. The A8S carries two power modules, one rechargeable battery for wireless use and one plug-in module for corded use, with six speed levels and a depth gauge running from 0 to 2.5 mm.

Dual power, a two-drive head, and depth from 0 to 2.5 mm

The A8S runs from a rechargeable battery or from the cable, drives its needles in and out rather than across the skin, and keeps depth on a dial that turns independently of the speed.

  • Two power modules, so a long session does not have to stop. A 380 mAh battery runs the pen wirelessly, and a plug-in module takes its place for corded use over a 2 metre cable.
  • Six speed levels up to 18,000 rpm. A single button steps through the levels and the current setting stays on the LED display, so a change can be confirmed without interrupting a pass.
  • Two drive systems rather than one. The head is driven from a pair of points instead of a single mount, which keeps the head square across a curved area and spreads the load instead of concentrating it on one point.
  • Depth from 0 to 2.5 mm on its own control. The dial sets needle travel across the full range and holds its position from one pass to the next, independently of the speed button.
  • A head that locks into three slots. The cartridge seats on a three-slot lock connector rather than a single mount, so it stays seated through a full pass.
  • A membrane that keeps fluid off the mechanism. Each head carries a silicone barrier across the needle field, which blocks backflow into the pen.
  • Two to three hours of use per charge, with a warning before it runs out. The display reports the remaining charge and warns as it falls, and a session that runs longer can be carried to the end on the corded module.
  • An aluminium body in a lockable travel case. The handle is finished in matte black with a gold anti-slip grip, and the pen travels in its own locking case.

Complete Your Microneedling Setup

Cartridges settle where the work is done and how deep it goes; the serum settles what the skin does with the channels afterwards. A pure hyaluronic acid is the standard base, a skinbooster carries actives into that base, and a collagen serum is worked across a longer course.

How to check your Dr. Pen A8S is genuine

The pen is not the only part worth checking. Genuine Dr. Pen heads are sealed individually and carry a printed manufacturing date and expiry date, while counterfeit heads arrive loose in unmarked packaging with no dates, and a head is the usual cause of irritation, uneven results and needles that drag rather than cut cleanly.

Every A8S we supply comes through the official Dr. Pen supply chain, and the checks you can carry out yourself are set out in how to verify your Dr. Pen. If the heads received do not appear correct, contact us before use.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Dr. Pen A8S for beginners, or is it a professional-only tool?

It is for both, and what separates the two users is depth rather than the pen. A home routine works the upper part of the dial, taking less under the eye and across the upper lip than elsewhere on the face, and starts the speed low rather than raising it until the movement is familiar. The deeper half of the range is where body work and scar tissue sit, and that is the part which calls for training: Dr. Pen advises that needles longer than 1.0 mm be used by trained practitioners.

How deep can the Dr. Pen A8S go, and where should a home user start?

The dial runs from 0 to 2.5 mm. At home, keep facial work at or below 1.0 mm and leave the deeper half of the range to trained practitioners, taking less again under the eye and across the upper lip. Depths by area are set out in our needle depth guide. Start shallower than the setting you expect to settle on and build up across sessions rather than working to the eventual depth on the first one.

Can the Dr. Pen A8S be used on the body as well as the face?

Yes, and the dial is what makes it practical on both. Body areas carry more tissue than the face, so they take a deeper setting: stretch marks on the abdomen, thighs and hips are commonly treated between 1.5 mm and 2.0 mm, and that part of the range is where training applies. A larger pin count covers a bigger area in fewer passes, which is why body work tends to use the 36-pin or 42-pin head rather than the 18-pin.

Is the Dr. Pen A8S painful to use?

It is felt, and the degree depends chiefly on the depth setting rather than on the pen. The A8S drives its needles straight in and out rather than drawing them across the skin, and a pass is quick because the motor runs at up to 18,000 rpm. Working shallower than expected, keeping a hyaluronic acid serum on the skin, and letting the head glide rather than pressing it into the face affect the experience more than the speed setting does.

How often should the Dr. Pen A8S be used?

Three to four weeks between sessions at needling depth. The visible change comes from the skin rebuilding after a session, and that rebuilding takes weeks, so sessions set closer together interrupt the process rather than adding to it. Redness should have cleared completely before the next one, and each head covers a single session.
