These cartridges are made for the Dr. Pen M8S, A8S and A11 — and for those three pens only. Every other Dr. Pen model uses a different cartridge system, so check your pen before you order.

Use genuine Dr. Pen cartridges only. Sterility, sharpness and correct fit are what keep a treatment safe and keep results consistent — counterfeit or reused tips are the usual cause of irritation, uneven results and dragging needles.

How to choose

This pack comes in seven tip types. Which one you want depends on where you are treating and how deep you plan to go.

Tip Commonly used for Typical depth
12-pin Isolated spots and scars, lines around the eyes and lips, scalp 0.25–1.0 mm
18-pin Whole-face routines — fine lines, texture, general rejuvenation 0.25–1.0 mm
24-pin Full-face coverage over larger areas — pores, tone, diffuse texture 0.25–1.0 mm
36-pin Body and scalp — stretch marks, larger areas, abdomen, thighs, back 0.5–1.5 mm
42-pin The largest body areas, at the densest coverage in the range 0.5–1.5 mm
Round Nano (R) Serum infusion, brightening routines, under-eye, weekly upkeep ≤ 0.25 mm — no puncture
Square Nano (S) The same routines over broader areas — forehead, cheeks, décolletage ≤ 0.25 mm — no puncture

Depth is set on the pen, not on the cartridge. Safe depth by concern is in our needle depth guide — at home, keep facial depth at or below 1.0 mm; above 1.5 mm is for trained practitioners.

Genuine, sealed, dated

  • Individually sealed. One sterile blister per cartridge — never loose in a bag.
  • EO gas sterilised. Ethylene oxide, the standard for single-use medical items.
  • Dated on each cartridge. Manufacturing and expiry date printed on every one.

Those three are also the quickest way to spot a fake — counterfeits normally arrive loose in unmarked bags, with no printed dates. We are an authorised Dr. Pen retailer, and stock comes through the official supply chain. How to verify your Dr. Pen.

Fitting, use, and the one rule that matters

  • Seating. Push-and-click into a three-snap fixed structure — three contact points instead of one clip, so the tip stays stable at speed and the depth you set stays put.
  • Tip design. The 18-pin tips use 0.18 mm fine-gauge needles on a wavy contact surface, for even contact and better product absorption.
  • Reverse-flow barrier. The closed structure keeps serum out of the pen body.
  • One session, one cartridge. Needles dull after a single pass and then drag instead of cutting clean channels — see can you reuse Dr. Pen cartridges?

Do not use on active breakouts, open or irritated skin, or over moles and joints. Store sealed packs dry and out of direct sunlight.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

I own an A11 and an A8S as well as an M8S — do they all take these same cartridges?

Yes. The M8S, A8S and A11 are the three pens that share this cartridge system, so one order covers all of them. They are the only current models that do — every other Dr. Pen and Hydra Pen has its own cartridge family.

How often do I need a new cartridge?

One cartridge per session — they are designed as single-use. Facial routines typically run every 2–4 weeks, and scalp or body sessions are usually spaced a little further apart, so the number you get through simply follows how often you treat.

Can I sterilise and reuse a cartridge instead of buying more?

Reusing is not recommended. Alcohol soaking cannot match EO-gas sterilisation, and it does nothing about needle dulling — a blunt tip drags and tears instead of cutting clean channels, which is more painful and gives worse results. These cartridges are designed and labelled single-use.

Which pin count should a complete beginner start with?

Start with 12-pin or 18-pin at 0.25–0.5 mm. The 12-pin concentrates pressure on individual spots; the 18-pin covers the whole face comfortably. Add a Nano tip if you also want a gentle infusion routine between sessions.

Can I use these cartridges on my scalp as well as my face?

Yes. The M8S, A8S and A11 all take these cartridges, and scalp work is one of the uses the 36-pin tip is designed for. Most home scalp routines sit around 0.5 mm — a 12-pin gives more focused coverage along a hairline, while a 36-pin covers a larger area faster.

Do the cartridges arrive individually sealed, with dates printed on them?

Yes — each cartridge is sealed in its own blister, EO-gas sterilised, and marked with manufacturing and expiry dates. Check both on arrival: loose cartridges in unmarked packaging, or a missing date, are the clearest counterfeit signals.
